Here’s Mark Morford’s piece on PETA’s fly-swatting fiasco. As usual, his writing is funny and perceptive and nuanced, except for his take on animal protection people, who he once again lumps into a single ‘hardcore’ crowd of “vegans, raw foodies, animal moralists, et al.” I enjoy Morford’s writing, even though he’s consistently clueless about how insulting he is towards people who want to eat compassionately. And I wonder why people who purchase factory farmed eggs never seem to be labeled
