Michigan’s Prop 2-Style Reforms are a Done Deal

This week is off to a helluva start. We’ve now had Governor’s pens, in two different states, eliminate widespread animal cruelty in the past 24 hours. Late last night, Schwarzenegger banned tail docking in California. And today, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm signed the bill that will rid the state of battery cages, gestation crates, and veal crates.
